CVRT Ride

Standard

It was (no joke) 77F today.

Since the Trek is still kaputt (waiting for new tires), I took the Diamondback and drove out to Shippensburg to have a ride on the Cumberland Valley Rail Trail.

I had never been on this trail before, so it was interesting. The first 5 miles is standard nice crushed limestone rail-trail. The rest is pretty much bare railroad ballast (big-ass goonie stones).

I had to let some air out of the tires for that part.

I took a lot of pictures. In the interest of saving bandwidth, I’ve placed them ‘below the fold’, so you’ll have to click the “more” link to see them.

Here’s the industry standard motion-blur ‘action’ shot :-)

Here’s a farm. There are lots of farms out here.

Those orange things are pumpkins.

No idea what this is, but it looked cool.

I don't know what this is, but it looks cool.

This is where the trail starts to get rough.

See, that’s just railroad ballast under the leaves.

They’re working on it though.

It is really hard to take pictures of flying birds. I think this is a hawk?

A Hawk, I think

Leaves are pretty.

I thought this pile of rocks was cool.

This reminded me of the default wallpaper in WindowsXP

Pretty, no?
