Stony Valley Ride (and crash)

Standard

Today, my sister and I went for a ride on the Stony Valley Rail Trail.

This was my first time on this trail, and it is my favorite one so far. It’s entirely in the woods.

It seems there is political bullshittery associated with all bicycle trails, and this one is no exception. Basically, the Army wants to come in and fuck it all up.

The only downside was that it was really crowded for the first few miles. I will definately go back to this trail once the temperature drops far enough to keep the sissies at home.

Pretty Nice, eh?

I was riding along on the left side of the trail, and I heard a cyclist coming up behind me. I didn’t hear an “On your left” or anything, but I got over (to the right) anyways. Unfortunately, the person was trying to pass me on my right. I ended up pulling over right in front of her, and she went down hard. About a half second later, her husband ran over her and he crashed too.

Fortunately, nobody was hurt, but I still felt kind of bad about it.

I guess that's why they call it stony valley
