Commute

Standard

I didn’t ride very much this winter. But, it’s bike-to-work week, so I rode in today. My little 5 mile commute kicked my ass. Hard.

I am possibly in the worst shape I’ve been in since I started this blog almost 5 years ago. Ugh.

My semester-from-hell is finally over, so I should have time to ride more regularly, at least until July, when my summer semester starts.

In other news, I replaced the aging cantilevers on the Trek with Tektro cr720s. I am very happy with them so far, but I’m a little concerned that the pads they come with are so long, that they’re going to get hung up in the front fork and make it hard to get the wheel in and out.

You can experiment with putting the front pads on backwards, so the long tail points toward the front. This often solves various problems, like fork clearance, squealing, etc.
