I’m getting bored writing ride reports lately, so here’s some local environmental news to stew over.

It seems that the politicos in Northumberland County have decided to spend the recycling budget on other stuff.

Mr. Zarick said that even though the fees paid by wastehaulers — about $150,000 a year — was intended to fund recycling activities, the commissioners were using the money to cover overspending in other departments, leaving little to pay for recycling opportunities for county residents.
